About Me

I’m Sam, an aspiring filmmaker, editor, and storyteller with a passion for crafting narratives that are original and unusual. I love films that feel raw and unsettling, whether it’s psychological horror, intimate character drama, or better yet something that blurs the line between the two. My work explores themes of identity, humanity, and the unseen forces both real and supernatural that shape who we are. I love creating stories that feel grounded yet haunting, ones that stay with you long after the credits roll.

Beyond my main passion of editing, I’m also an aspiring writer, producer, and assistant director. I specialize in the process of bringing a film from concept to completion. I've worked on numerous amateur films as an assistant director, and it is always my goal to make sure that the creative vision of the film is realized. I enjoy and am accomplished at the logistical side of extremely low-budget filmmaking, and have more than 5 micro-budget short films under my belt as an assistant director/line producer.

As an editor, I focus on rhythm, emotion, and atmosphere, using Adobe Creative Suite and DaVinci Resolve to shape each project into something powerful. I believe editing is where a film truly comes to life, where every cut, transition, and sound choice deepens the story. With years of experience in multiple editing programs, I aim to create work that is visually striking, emotionally honest, and deeply immersive.

Whether behind the camera, in the edit bay, or working behind the scenes to bring a vision to life, my goal is always the same: to tell unique stories that matter.
